Mark Knutson is the North American General Manager for Rotabelt Conveyors located in Milton.

The main company is located in France and has worked with local companies before. Now they’re choosing to invest directly in Northumberland County.

“The main company out of Europe was really trying to set up their own location to handle everything more in house rather than working through another individual,” Knutson said.

“The product is a conveyor system. Now it’s on a concrete truck. The idea is with a concrete truck you can only pour so far away from the truck and downhill….the system we have is kind of a meets in the middle.”

They plan to hire more employees before their busy season this winter.

It’s one of the latest examples of a countywide effort to bring growth to rural Pennsylvania
